Explosive sounds from Billy Mick with new single ‘Leveling Up’

Ahead of his forthcoming album, Billy Mick has released his single ‘Leveling Up’, exuding the energy that we are all wanting this summer! A real nod to electro-pop legends such as Adam Lambert that is sure to stay stuck in your head in the best type of way.

Billy’s explosive single isn’t just a treat for the ears as there is a great depth and meaning behind his music. In a previous single, Billy recalls his experience at Pride Manchester where he felt true acceptance and togetherness, a world away from his return home in Florida where he saw signs of increasing racial intolerance and bigotry on the news when he returned.

“In 2018, my husband and I attended Manchester Pride as part of our trip to the U.K. We were so amazed at the overwhelming sense of acceptance, love and community we felt when we were there! The streets were filled with drag queens, lesbians, straight people, bears, twinks…and everyone was actually celebrating together.
My prior experiences at some pride events were different – there would be a single big event or parade where people would come together and when it ended everyone would go to their separate parties or bars. It was just so cool and awe inspiring to not only see the diversity but to also be welcomed by everyone we met. We felt very much at home”.

Entertaining from a young age, Billy worked as a performer in theme parks before becoming a singer-songwriter, releasing his debut album ‘Just Be’ last summer. Billy’s exuberant love of life is infectious which is truly reflected in his up-beat electro-pop sound.
