David Omlor Unveils His Debut Solo Album, “Entropy”

David Omlor, a Florida-based Americana and Folk-Rock artist, released his debut album entitled, Entropy, in March of 2021. Refusing to conform to typical standards of musicality within these genres strictly, Omlor makes a unique name for himself through this type of boundary-crossing while still staying true to his roots. The lyrics in each of his songs range from melancholy and sorrowful, in songs like “Ghosts in Oklahoma,” to hopeful and promising, in songs like “It Ain’t Over” and “It Ain’t Over (Version 2).”

Entropy is able to create a unique soundscape that captivates listeners and appreciates both the instrumental side of music and the lyrical/vocal side of music. Both aspects of music reflect the chaotic, uncertain, and troubling year that was 2020. However, despite all of this chaos, David Omlor was able to craft a beautiful debut album that can be appreciated and relatable for listers across musical preferences and age groups.

“During the complete insanity that was 2020 I locked myself in and created a solo record titled Entropy. Through the magic of modern technologies like Dropbox and Zoom I was able to collaborate with amazing musicians from all over the US to put together nine songs that try to make sense of an extremely strange and difficult time and come out of that darkness with some hope.” – David Omlor

Having several years of experience in the music industry, Omlor has been able to successfully create a sound for himself that is reminiscent of his influences, including Bob Dylan and George Harrison, but still distinctly different. David Omlor is more than just what your dad might listen to; he is a contemporary artist with a relevant message for the masses to hear.
