Roy Sunak Set To Release Spiritual Debut Album Tear In The River
Composer Roy Sunak has announced that he will be releasing his new album entitled Tear In The River during December 2022 on all major streaming platforms. Featuring multiple original tracks, the album is an example of supreme bansuri playing.
Developing his skills within Hindustani Classical music, World music & Sound journey otherwise known as Meditative music, Roy’s new album can be described as calming and triggering as each song triggers thought and reflection. Each song on the album is designed to tell different stories and represent a journey full of different colours and moods.

Roy wanted the album to communicate the importance of connection between all beings. The album musically portrays this connection as it brings together musicians from different countries and cultures who all share a common love.
We would recommend that you start by listening to Berceuse pour le Petit Jean Pierre which features on the album. Spiritually devine and written as a touching tribute and metaphor, this song summarises the brilliance of Roy Sunaks work. When talking about the meaning of the song, Roy explains: It is a lullaby that I wrote for a bird that I took care of. At some point it felt as if he had a special bond. The bird liked music very much and when I played that song it went to sleep. After a few weeks I decided to bring Jean Pierre back to the nature where he belongs and would be happier. This song and the story behind it gave much significance when my father passed away 6 months ago. Letting go of a person/being while knowing that he is in another, better place without looking at my loss. Generating compassion for the other being without attachment.
