‘New Year’, new music: Toby and Pip set 2021 off to a good start with uplifting new single

Having shared 11 years together, Toby and Pip have many treasured moments that they enjoy reliving through their music, one of these being the annual midnight moment of New Year’s Eve.

Wanting to continue to experience this moment together every year, their heartwarming pact inspired their uplifting single ‘New Year’, sending them and their listeners into 2021 with a comforting optimism.

The track kicks off with gentle acoustic guitar and Toby’s smooth vocals that embrace the listener, before Pip chimes in with her stunning singing skills. It’s clear that their lyrics have come from the heart and the connection between the couple can be heard through their soft harmonies which share a clear declaration of their love for each other.

The couple are currently busy filming a music video for the track, which will be shot in their hometown of London and will picture them visiting some of their favourite iconic landmarks before bringing in the new year at a big celebration with their family and friends.

Having been creating music together since they met, the pair are no strangers to the music industry. Pip is a multi-instrumentalist and a singer with a music degree, while she picked up Ukulele when the pair went traveling after they got married. Toby has been writing and playing guitar since 2002, having played at some of London’s best music venues and sharing the stage with artists such as The Dunwells and Tom Chaplin.

Their unique style is a fusion of Pip’s upbringing as the daughter of classical music composer Paul Patterson with the couple’s love for cheesy pop and folk music. Their self-written, thoughtful songs have already gained them a supportive fanbase who eagerly await the duo’s future projects.
