Another inspirational move from Adam Lanceley as he releases his album ‘Welcome to the Next Century’
‘Welcome to the Next Century’ is the new album from Adam Lanceley. The album has an easy, country feel, with a mix of uptempo beats and more soulful ballads. A musical journey with great variety but also an incredibly powerful and important message behind it.
Adam’s journey into music has more to it than just his natural talent and abilities. Adam was only ten years old when he suffered a devastating car accident leaving him seriously injured to the extent that he would be unable to walk or talk again. Adam not only proved doctors wrong but has taken his remarkable recovery to the extreme, running marathons and now continuing with his successful career as a singer-songwriter.
Making a miracle recovery is not without its battles as Adam suffers from serious mental health issues, including PTSD, severe anxiety and depression. Adam escapes these dark aspects of life through music, and hopes to share with others the capabilities that music can have in escapism and coping.
“The new tracks that are on this album have all been recorded since my last EP came out and all were written and recorded during lockdown. Doing this then helped me to escape some of the stress of the situation and almost take myself away to a sunnier, more care-free place. It was always intended that they would be released when the world seemed ‘brighter’ and on a more personal level, it felt like a turning point where things suddenly seemed easier”.
