Electric Sufi Make an Intercultural Endeavour with their New Album
In a bid to unite listeners from all backgrounds with their newest album ‘Breathe In Life’, Electric Sufi address the theme of climate crisis, resulting in a moving collection of World Music, in which any listener can resonate with.
Electric Sufi themselves are a reflection of this intercultural theme, where the trio of members come from different cultural backgrounds, all of which offer an interesting perspective to the music. Lead vocalist, Sarah Yaseen has a background in Sufi music and is from a Kashmiri background, aiming to use music as a platform for environmental activism.

All instrumentals on ‘Breathe to Life’ are by the talented Mina Salama, who fled Egypt due to ongoing persecution, whilst synthesized music and soundscapes are by Rupert Till from York.
This album is a true reflection of diversity and a fusion of cultures, across its themes, musical influences, and the band members. ‘Breathe in Life’ is a remarkable album which offers a unique stance towards worldwide issues.
