ENNY Launches Mentorship Programme to Empower Young Musicians in Industry Challenges

ENNY spearheads a new mentorship programme for young musicians, addressing industry challenges.

The artistic realm can be a daunting and competitive place, especially for young creatives who are trying to break into the music industry. In recognition of this, South London rapper ENNY is leading the charge in revolutionizing the way we support and nurture aspiring musicians through her new mentorship programme, Freeform Forum. The initiative, in collaboration with Relentless and UK arts organization Small Green Shoots, aims to empower and equip the next generation of young musicians with invaluable tools and opportunities to thrive in the ever-evolving creative sector.

12 fortunate mentees between the ages of 18 and 25 will embark on a six-week journey of growth, collaboration, and self-discovery. Unlike traditional mentorship programmes, Freeform Forum offers a unique opportunity for young musicians to create a live creative project with the guidance of industry professionals.

This invaluable opportunity will not only enhance their skills, but also help them to unlock gate-kept opportunities within the industry. Highlighting the importance of mentorship, ENNY shares, “I know firsthand the struggles of trying to make it in the music industry. It can be tough to navigate, and sometimes all you need is someone to believe in you and open the right doors. That’s why I am so passionate about this programme, to give back and help young musicians achieve their dreams.”

ENNY will be joined by a stellar line-up of industry experts such as J Hus’ Producer TSB, Burna Boy’s photographer Elliot Hensford, and Super Bowl ad co-creator Tajana Tokyo. Together, they will provide valuable guidance, 1-on-1 mentoring, and networking opportunities to the chosen 12 mentees. What sets this mentorship programme apart is that one mentee stands a chance of securing a £10,000 fund to support their creative vision. This is a huge opportunity for budding musicians to turn their dreams into reality and make their mark in the industry.

The Freeform Forum mentorship programme comes in light of Relentless’ recent national youth study, which revealed that a lack of mentorship is one of the biggest obstacles holding young people back from entering the world of music. It is a much-needed step in the right direction to address and break down these barriers, providing young creatives with a platform to succeed. Interested in being one of the 12 mentees?
