Punt Guns Releases First Single, “Nemesis,” From Their Upcoming Album
London-based, but coming from the Balkans, Russia, China, and Mongolia, rock group, Punt Guns delivers a catchy exciting new hit with “Nemesis.” The group’s founding members are Marek Bero, who is the lead singer and bass guitarist for the group, and Giampaolo Guarnieri, who is the guitarist for the group. They have since added a drummer (Dan Western) and another guitarist (Jiri Novotny) to their roster to create their unique sound.
“Nemesis” begins with a spoken introduction about the definition of what a nemesis is, which then builds into the funky rock-based groove determined to make any listener get off of their seat. The song then goes through a couple different phases, each bringing something new to the table, but all building off of that funky rock groove. Lyrically, there is not much sung, but what the song lacks in lyrics, it makes up for in its dark funk, its danceability, and its showcasing of the band members’ musical prowess.

“Nemesis,” which was released on the 17th of June, is just one of the many songs to be featured on Punt Guns’ upcoming album. Their new album is currently being worked on in Rockfield Studios, where infamous artists like Queen and Pixies have recorded, and should be released sometime during 2021.
